Lanphier Park (I) was the home to Springfield, IL baseball off and on from 1925 through 1949.
Lanphier Park (II) was built in 1952. After renovations in 1977, it hosted its first professional team, the Springfield Redbirds of the American Association, from 1978 to 1981. The ballpark was then home to the Springfield Cardinals (1981-1993) and Springfield Sultans (1994-1995) of the Midwest League. Next, it was home to the Springfield Capitals of the Frontier League from 1996-2001. It is presently (2007) home to the Springfield College - Illinois Bulldogs of the Mid-West Athletic Conference.
