The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx became the AA affiliate of the Seattle Mariners in 2007. Previously, they had been a Chicago Cubs farm team since they began play in 1998 when the Memphis Chicks moved to Pringles Park in Jackson, TN. After the 2010 season the team changed its name to the Jackson Generals.
