Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is a collegiate athletic conference which consists of historically black colleges in the southeastern United States.

In 1970, the league was confirmed with seven institutions kicking off the 1971 season: Delaware State College (now University), Howard University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Morgan State University, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina Central University and South Carolina State College (now University).

North Carolina Central University was also a member of the conference from 1970-1979.
