Mountain States Conference
The Mountain States Conference was formed in 1938 when its seven charter members left the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The conference was known as the Skyline Conference (not to be confused with the current Skyline Conference) when the University of Colorado left in 1947. The University of Montana and the University of New Mexico joined in 1951. The conference disbanded in 1962 when four of its members left to form the Western Athletic Conference.
