Montana sponsored baseball in 1903-1909, 1915-1928, and 1947-72. The school competed in the Pacific Coast Conference in 1925-1926, the Northern Division in 1927-1928, the Mountain States Conference from 1952 to 1962 and the Big Sky Conference (which only had baseball from 1964 to 1974) from 1964 to 1972. The school's other teams still play in the Big Sky. Gene Carlson went here and later coached football here. Scot Engler, Norm Kampschror and Dustin Lind also went here.
