2016 Pacific League Most Valuable Player Award
(Redirected from 2016 Pacific League MVP)
The 2016 Pacific League Most Valuable Player Award easily went to Shohei Otani, who got 253 of 254 first-place votes and a second-place vote. The Nippon Ham Fighters two-way star, at age 22, would have led the league in ERA and slugging but did not qualify for the leaderboards in either (just missing the ERA qualifiers). Given that there had been no other two-way players in NPB for decades, it was quite a feat.
