2012 CWS Regionals

The field of 64 teams in the 2012 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship is broken down into 16 4-team Regionals, played at the home site of the #1 seed. The Regionals are a double elimination format, played from June 1-June 4 (if necessary). The top team in each bracket advances to the Super Regionals, a best of three series. The Regionals are grouped together in pairs for the Super Regionals, i.e. the Gainesville and Raleigh Regionals make up one Super Regional.
The eight National Seeds were 1. Florida, 2. UCLA, 3. Florida State, 4. Baylor, 5. Oregon, 6. North Carolina, 7. LSU, 8. South Carolina.
The University of Miami extended its record by making the field for the 40th consecutive year, while Florida State University made it for the 35th consecutive time, 2nd all time. The University of Dayton and Samford University made the field for the first time is school history.
