Tokyo Metropolitan Area University Baseball League
The Tokyo Metropolitan Area University Baseball League formed in 1964 when seven schools left the Tohto University Base Ball League. It has two divisions, and the first place of the second division can have a chance to advance by playing a 3-game series with the last place of the higher division. It has 16 schools as of 2024 and the first division has 6 schools. The spring champion can earn a spot in the All-Japan University Baseball Championship Series, and the top two schools of the fall season can advance to the Kanto University Tournament. They will play with the teams from the Kankoshin Student Baseball Federation, Kanagawa University Baseball League, New Tokyo University Baseball League and Chiba Prefecture University Baseball League, fighting for a spot in the Meiji Jingu Baseball Convention.
