Sonoma State University has sponsored baseball in 1967-1974 and 1980 to the present. Baseball was a club sport in 1966 and 1979. 2025 will be the last year the Seawolves take the field as it was announced on January 22, 2025 that the school would cut all athletic programs after revealing a $23.9 budget deficit.
