Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Zack Pace was a longtime Independent Leagues player who played in the American Association, Frontier League, North American League and Pacific Association from 2006-2016. More recently, he was manager of the Sonoma Stompers of the Pacific Association.

A native of Newark, CA, Pace attended nearby Sonoma State University before starting his professional career with the playing for the Sioux City Explorers in 2006. He then spent the next five years in the Frontier League with four different clubs.

In 2012, Pace would sign with the San Rafael Pacifics of the Pacific Association where he would spent the last five years of his playing career, winning three championships in the process. The lefty hit a career high .321 in 2014 while holding a 59 to 34 walk-to-strikeout ratio.

On February 12, 2018 the Sonoma Stompers announced the signing of Manager Zack Pace. General Manager Brett Creamer was quoted “I know the competitive edge he brings to the Stompers, and that will take us a long way. His positive mentality and eager work ethic consistently impress me," said Creamer. First year Manager Zack Pace would break the Pacific Association win record with 57, winning him Manager of the Year award for the 2018 season. In 2019, the skipper would would once again lead the Pacific Association with 45 wins.
