Team History[edit]
The Sonoma Stompers were created in 2014 to play in the independent Pacific Association. They distinguished themselves by trying to find original approaches to building a professional team. As an example, on June 29, 2016, they made news by signing two female players, both members of the United States Women's national team, Kelsie Whitmore and Stacy Piagno. As of the 2022 season, the Stompers now compete in the California Collegiate League.
