Biographical Information[edit]

Stacy Piagno has played for the US women's national team.

Piagno played baseball and basketball (All-Conference) in high school; she was the only woman in the local high school baseball league and did well as a pitcher. Going on to college, she switched to softball. She returned to baseball in 2011 with the US national team in the Women's International Friendship Series. As a college junior for Tampa, she hit .271/.315/.350 in softball. She rejoined the US squad for the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup, getting a win in relief against Australia. She relieved Marti Sementelli with a 5-2 deficit in the bottom of the third and allowed two inherited runners to score, but gave up only one earned run in 4 2/3 innings as the US rallied to win, 11-8.

She was signed by the professional Sonoma Stompers in 2016 alongside Women's national team teammate Kelsie Whitmore.
