Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Ray Serrano is a former minor league player of the Atlanta Braves and Tampa Bay Rays where he played in 441 affiliated games and reached as high as AAA. Over his 10 seasons in affiliated baseball, Serrano held a .247 average with 35 home runs and 193 runs batted in.
Serrano also spent time in the Puerto Rican Winter League, Canadian-American Association, American Association and Pacific Association
In 2014, Serrano managed the Sonoma Stompers of the Pacific Association in their inaugural season. Due to injuries, Serrano was forced into action in August and finished off the season playing during its last three weeks. The Puerto Rico native held a respectable .362 average with 10 RBIs in just 12 games.
