Biographical Information[edit]
OF/1B Pat Casey was drafted in the 10th round of the 1980 amateur draft by the San Diego Padres. He played minor league ball from 1980 to 1987, reaching AAA with the Calgary Cannons in 1985-1986, and the Portland Beavers in 1987.
Casey was the head coach at George Fox University from 1988 to 1994. He was then hired as head coach of Oregon State University, replacing longtime coach Jack Riley (1973-1994). Casey led the Beavers to the College World Series in 2005 and 2006, winning the championship in 2006.
