Kansas State League

From BR Bullpen

Five different leagues have used the name of the Kansas State League.

The first league was established in 1887. It lasted a year then reappeared from 1895 through 1898. In 1905 it was classified as a class D league and existed for two years.

The fourth incarnation got off the ground in 1909 and lasted for three seasons. The league coexisted with the Central Kansas League until its collapse in 1911.

In 1913, the Central Kansas League changed its name to the now vacant Kansas State League. The league ran for two more years before disbanding.
