Junction City Soldiers

From BR Bullpen

In 1911, future President Dwight D. Eisenhower played a few games for the Junction City Soldiers of the Central Kansas League under the assumed name "Wilson". He hit .355 in his short stint. He was hiding his true identity in order to maintain his eligibility for collegiate sports, as he was headed to the United States Military Academy where he intended to play both football and baseball.
