Biographical Information[edit]
Chick Brandom was the first major league player to come from the University of Oklahoma. While his ERAs in 1908 and 1909 with the Pirates were excellent, he gave up many unearned runs (for his career, 53 runs allowed and 25 earned runs allowed in 108 innings). While with the Pirates, he was the same age as phenom Nick Maddox.
Notable Achievement[edit]
- Won a World Series with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1909 (he did not play in the World Series)
