Team Bio[edit]
The Winnipeg Goldeyes of the American Association began play in 1994 in the Northern League. The Rochester Aces moved to town and choose "Goldeyes" as the new team name, the name was also used by a Northern League team from 1954-1964 and in 1969. Manager Doug Simunic led the club to a league championship in their inaugural season. Former big league skipper Hal Lanier also managed the club for a decade.
The team moved to the American Association along with three other Northern League clubs when that circuit was re-organized following the 2010 season.
