Biographical Information[edit]
Mark Brewer, son of Jim Brewer, has been a baseball coach for about two decades.
Brewer was pitching coach at the University of Texas in 1992. In 1998-1999, he was pitching coach at Oral Roberts University.
Brewer has also a pitching coach for the independent Salt Lake City Trappers in 1990-1991 and in the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Dodgers chains from the 1993-2000. He was a coach for the Great Falls Dodgers in 1996, Vero Beach Dodgers in 1998, San Bernardino Stampede in 1999 and Tulsa Drillers in 2000. From 2001-2004, he was the Dodgers' Minor League Pitching Coordinator. He was pitching coach for the 2005 Omaha Royals, 2006 Binghamton Mets and 2007 New Orleans Zephyrs. In 2008, he was the New York Mets' Latin America Pitching Coordinator. He was Rehabilitation Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2009. In 2010, he came back to the Mets chain to again work as Binghamton's pitching coach, then moved to the GCL Mets in 2011 and Buffalo Bisons in 2012. Brewer was pitching coach of the Asheville Tourists in 2014-2016, the Albuquerque Isotopes in 2017, the Hartford Yard Goats in 2018, Asheville again in 2019, and Fresno Grizzlies in 2021-2023.
