Team History[edit]
The Gulf Coast Mets, also known as the GCL Mets, were a rookie-level affiliate of the New York Mets. The team played in the East division of the Gulf Coast League. The Mets played at Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie, FL. The team was discontinued after the 2011 season, with the Mets deciding to keep only one US-based Rookie-level team, in the Appalachian League.
