Biographical Information

David Davalillo peaked at AA; he played every position during his minor league career. He was the son of Pompeyo Davalillo, nephew of Vic Davalillo, brother of Marco Antonio Davalillo and uncle of Marco Davalillo Jr.

David turned pro with the 1993 DSL Angels, hitting .302. Coming stateside, he batted .251/.287/.351 for the 1994 AZL Angels. He split '95 between the Boise Hawks (.223/.269/.348 in 36 G) and Cedar Rapids Kernels (.270/.302/.333 in 44 G). The infielder was with Cedar Rapids (.275/.328/.357 in 98 G) and the Midland Angels (.171/.218/.173 in 25 G) in 1996. In 1997, he was a bench player for Midland (.250/.275/.324 in 49 G) and the Lake Elsinore Storm (.222/.261/.302 in 37 G). He ended his career with the 1998 Storm, putting up a .264/.320/.335 line. He led the California League in sacrifice hits (15) and in fielding percentage at 2B (.976). Overall, Davalillo had batted .254/.299/.332 in 468 games in the US.

Davalillo managed the DSL Mets 2 in 2012-2017 and GCL Mets in 2018-2019. He was a coach for the FCL Mets in 2021.
