The Liberation League was a single-season independent league that popped up during the 2020 campaign, in response to the effects the coronavirus pandemic had on minor league and independent baseball. It played a 40-game schedule and featured four teams: the Indy Windstorm (26-14), the Baseball Resume Bandits (24-16), the California Dogecoin (14-23) and the Indiana Barn Owls (13-24). The circuit mostly featured players from other independent leagues, though a couple major leaguers, Johnny Barbato and Jermaine Curtis, also participated. All games were played at League Stadium in Huntingburg, IN.
The Bandits were the league champions, beating the Windstorm.
