Biographical Information[edit]

John McCloskey managed the Louisville Colonels (1895-1896) and the St. Louis Cardinals (1906-1908) in the National League to a record of 190-417. Four of his five teams finished last.

He also spent 31 years managing in the minor leagues between 1888 and 1932. His minor league record shows 1713 wins and 1632 losses.
