Biographical Information[edit]

Jackson Pritchard played in the independent leagues and for the Great Britain national team.

He hit .222/.317/.264 in college in 2016 and .223/.266/.285 in 2017. Turning pro, he batted .243/.357/.418 for the Roswell Invaders that summer, fielding .997 as their main catcher. He split 2018 between Roswell (.294/.351/.559, 25 RBI in 27 G), the Lincoln Saltdogs (0-for-2), the Salina Stockade (.125/.192/.167 in 8 G) and the Hollywood Stars (6 for 27, 4 BB).

Finding stability in 2019, he had a .194/.273/.326 batting line for the Florence Freedom, fielding .991. After the 2020 indies were mostly shut down for COVID-19, he hit .219/.308/.260 with the 2021 Florence Y'Alls. He improved to .225/.316/.355 with the 2022 Sussex County Miners then batted .197/.321/.296 with the 2023 Lake Erie Crushers.

Playing for Britain in the 2023 European Championship. With Mariners prospect Harry Ford doing the catching, Pritchard saw limited action. He debuted in a 22-3 rout of Hungary, replacing Kennard Dawson in left. He doubled off Carlos Rubio to drive in Ben Leid and Julian Sanders his first time up, then came around to score and drew a walk his next time up. He also had an assist in the field. Against Italy, he replaced Sanders at first, struck out facing Alex Bassani and was retired by Nick Davis. In the title game, a 11-2 loss, he pinch-hit for Aaron Singh and struck out against former major leaguer Rhiner Cruz. [1]
