During the 2015 B-Level European Championship, he lost the opener to Croatia's Slobodan Gales, allowing 11 hits and 8 runs (all earned) in 5 1/3 IP. He also hit .176/.176/.176 for the event. In the 2017 CEB Cup, he had a 4.70 ERA for Therwil and was 4-for-11 with 3 walks and 4 runs. His 22 error-free chances were fifth in the event. [4] As usual, he was with Switzerland, this time for the 2017 B-Level European Championship. He again started the opener, this time losing to Shlomo Lipetz and Israel. He hit .182/.267/.182, fielded perfectly in 24 chances and had a 8.53 ERA for the event. He led with two sac flies; only Joachim Frick and Ari Fabian had more chances with no errors. [5]
He had a 3.86 ERA and hit .385/.556/.538 in the 2019 Federations Cup. His 46 chances without an error led the tournament (7 ahead of Philip Smith) and he led in putouts (33) and double plays (4, tied). [6] In the 2019 B-Level European Championship, he scored the winning run in the 9th against Ukraine. He fielded .980 and batted .316/.409/.526, with six runs and three steals (not caught) in five contests. He was second to Kestas Vilimas in putouts and tied for the double play lead. [7]
Oshima hit .200/.273/.200 for Therwil in the 2021 CEB Cup, with a 6.43 ERA but got the win over Minsk's Kiryl Kazlouski. Switzerland made their first European Championship in 2023 and the veteran was on their roster; his brother was a late cut. He and Ryan Byrne was their only southpaw hurlers. He was the first reliever for the team in a European Championship game, relieving Jonah Schaller with a 3-0 deficit in the 2nd, the bases loaded and one out. Former major leaguer Ryan Lavarnway hit into a run-scoring force then Brett Holtz walked and Assaf Lowengart hit a three-run double. Zev Moore tripled in a run to make it 8-0 before Robb Paller grounded out. He allowed only one run in the 3rd but four more (two unearned) in the 4th, including a 3-run Paller homer, before Andrea Girasole took over for him. In a 15-5 loss to Germany, he was the 9th of 10 Swiss hurlers, allowing four hits and two runs in the 8th, relieving Simon Steffen and succeeded by Marco Limacher. His last outing was in a 12-3 loss to Italy; replacing Fabio Bundi in the 5th, he allowed two runs (one earned) in 2/3 of an inning then Girasole came in. He tied for the team lead in appearances. While he allowed their most runs, he did not have their worst ERA; both Schaller and Cee-Jay Savoldelli were higher. He tied for 7th in the 2023 Euros in games pitched, tied Sergii Shtapura and Dimitri Lettas for 5th in hits allowed (14) and tied for 8th in runs allowed (11). [11]
