Biographical Information[edit]
Fabio Bundi has pitched for the Swiss national team, like his brother Livio Bundi.
Fabio debuted for Switzerland in the 2023 European Championship; he was their youngest pitcher. His first game was against Germany as the 3rd of 10 hurlers in a 15-5 loss. He relieved Cee-Jay Savoldelli in the 2nd with a 5-0 deficit, two on and one out. He allowed a Shawn Larry single but a runner was thrown out on the play. After he walked Simon Bäumer, he got Brewers farmhand Yannic Walther swinging. Jonah Schaller took over. His other outing came versus Italy. Succeeding Schaller in the first with a 3-0 deficit, the bases loaded and two outs, he struck out Nathanael Batista to escape that jam. He went 3 2/3 IP and allowed 5 hits, 3 walks and 5 runs (3 earned) while striking out five. Hideori Oshima was their next hurler. [1]
