Biographical Information[edit]
Cee-Jay Savoldelli has played for the Swiss national team. It is unclear if he is related to Roger Savoldelli.
Savoldelli allowed four walks and two runs in one inning against Finland in the 2022 European Championship Qualifiers; Switzerland still won a spot in the 2023 European Championship. [1] The Zürich Barracudas hurler was with them for the 2023 Euros, their first European Championship. He made two appearances. In their 15-5 loss to Germany, he relieved Stefan Haltmeier in the second with a 2-0 deficit. He got David Grimes on a grounder but David Dinski doubled, stole third and scored on a throwing error. Nino Sacasa walked, stole and scored on a single by Alex Schmidt. Eric Brenk walked and Vincent Ahrens singled in a run then Fabio Bundi took over. Cee-Jay got the start in the 11th/12th place game against Belgium. He blanked them for two innings but folded in the third and Ryan Byrne took over; he had allowed five hits, three walks and six runs (all earned) in 2 2/3 IP in taking the loss against Kevin Desmedt. His first strikeout was of Benjamin Goffaux. He tied Jonah Schaller for the team's highest ERA and most earned runs allowed while only Hideori Oshima allowed more runs for the Swiss staff. [2]
