Biographical Information[edit]

David Dinski has played in the Bundesliga and for the German national team.

He hit .407/.579/.444 with 13 runs in 9 games in the 2014 U-15 Baseball World Cup, tying future major leaguer Isaac Paredes for 6th in runs. [1] Playing regularly in left for the Buchbinder Legionäre at age 18, he hit .333/.429/.542 in 2018. [2] In 2019, he batted .274/.342/.349 and went 11-for-12 in steal attempts, tying Edvardas Matusevičius for 10th in the Bundesliga-1. [3] He saw limited action in 2020 and produced at a .346/.455/.462 rate with 10 more swipes, tying Sascha Lutz for 3rd in the Bundesliga-1 South. [4]

Dinski was excellent in 2021, when he hit .347/.441/.490 with 20 steals in 21 attempts and scored 26 runs in 30 games. He was two steals behind leader Philip Schulz. [5] He was 0 for 7 but with 5 walks and 3 runs in the 2021 U-23 European Championship. [6] He drew six walks in eight games in the 2021 U23 Baseball World Cup, batting .263/.440/.316. He tied for 6th in walks. [7]

David kept on rolling in '22 at .373/.439/.559 with 25 runs and 16 stolen bases in 29 contests. He tied Drew Janssen for 9th in runs and led in steals, two ahead of Marco Cardoso and Gary Owens. In the 2022 U23 Baseball World Cup, he was 1 for 14 with 3 walks, a run and two RBI. [8] He slumped to .230/.342/.279 in 2023. [9]

Despite coming off an off-season, he made Germany's team for the 2023 European Championship. He debuted against Switzerland, hitting 7th and playing center. He doubled off Cee-Jay Savoldelli his first trip to the plate and finished the day with three hits and three runs. [10]
