Team History[edit]

After the 2011 season, the Colorado Rockies bought their affiliate in the Pioneer League, the Casper Ghosts, and moved the team to Grand Junction, CO where they became the Grand Junction Rockies. They are the first professional team to play in Grand Junction. In 2014 the Rockies put together the best overall record in the league but finished 2nd in both halves to miss the playoffs. Before the 2023 season, the team rebranded as the Grand Junction Jackalopes.
