Biographical Information

Freddy Mosier has pitched for the British national team.

Mosier was Britain's catcher in the 2015 European Junior Championship, hitting .111/.273/.111 with one run and two RBI in six games; he was 2-for-2 in steals. In the 2016 European Junior Championship, he fared better at .300/.391/.400, fielding .957. He scored six runs in six games to tie Richard Brereton and Miguel Rodríguez for the team lead. He was 2 for 5 with two doubles for Middlebury College in the US in 2019. In the 2019 European Championship U23, he was 1 for 12 (a double again), walk, hit-by-pitch, three runs and a RBI. He fielded .978 but allowed nine steals in nine tries. His hit was off France's Antoine Rault. His 43 putouts tied Martin Mužík for the event lead.

He was a pitcher by the 2021 European Championship U23, allowing two runs in five innings. He remained with the Brits for the 2021 European Championship, debuting against France when he relieved Liam Sabiston in the 8th with a 7-1 lead. He retired Léo Jiminian, hit José Paula and struck out Luis Delogu before Andy Paz doubled in Paula. He recovered to whiff Felix Brown then turned the ball over for the 9th to similarly-named Chris Messer. His next game, he took over for Messer with a 10-4 deficit in the 9th against Israel. He walked Ty Kelly, retired Robb Paller, threw a wild pitch and yielded a RBI single to Mitch Glasser. After a Benny Wanger double, he got Jordan Petrushka swinging and Assaf Lowengart on a foul pop. His next contest was his best, facing tourney champion the Netherlands. Relieving Daniel Cooper in the 6th with a surprisingly close 6-5 deficit, he gave up a Junior Martina single and John Polonius walked. Calten Daal bunted the runners over then Jiandido Tromp hit a sacrifice fly. He retired Roger Bernadina then went 1-2-3 each of the next two innings, fanning three, but the British team got no closer. His last outing, though, was his worst. Against Belgium, he took over for Sabiston with the bases loaded, no outs in the 8th and five runs in that inning already as Belgium had closed a 11-3 game to 11-8. He gave up a RBI single to Benjamin Goffaux then walked Drew Janssen and Axel Poesmans to force in runs and tie it up. Messer came in and escaped the jam. He led Britain in appearances and tied for the event lead with Fernando Baez, Robyn Clara, Rhiner Cruz, Franklin De La Rosa, Wendell Floranus, Kevin Kelly and Bubby Rossman).
