Colón, Colón

Colón is the second-largest city in Panama, following Panama City, which is 50 miles to the southeast. It is the capital of Colón Province, both being named after Christopher Columbus. Colón is located on the Caribbean Sea, at the northern end of the Panama Canal, while Panama City is at the southern end, on the Pacific Ocean.
