Biographical Information[edit]

Marco Paddy has been a long-time scout.

Paddy was picked by the Atlanta Braves in the 56th round of the 1988 amateur draft. He hit .276/.367/.324 in 41 games as a backup 1B-C for the Idaho Falls Braves in his lone season as a pro. He was an assistant coach at Southern University after his playing career ended. He was an Atlanta Braves scout from 1993-2002 then was assistant director of player development and director of Latin America Operations there. He signed Andrew Brown and Ben Kozlowski for Atlanta. From 2007-2011, was Director of Latin American Operations for the Toronto Blue Jays, signing Nestor Molina, Wuilmer Becerra, Dawel Lugo and Kenen Bailli. In 2012-2013, he became a Chicago White Sox special assistant to the General Manager, working in International Operations, signing Kevin Escorcia, Luis Martínez, Yelmison Peralta and Jaider Rocha.
