Biographical Information[edit]
Wuilmer Becerra began his pro career in 2012.
Becerra signed with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2011; the scouts were Marco Paddy and Rafael Moncada. The signing bonus was $1.3 million. He went straight to the US, seeing limited action with the 2012 GCL Blue Jays. He went 8 for 32 with four doubles, four walks, five runs and four RBI; he had 9 putouts and two assists in the outfield. He was then the youngest player of a big trade, going with Travis d'Arnaud, John Buck and Noah Syndergaard to the New York Mets for R.A. Dickey, Josh Thole and Mike Nickeas on December 17, 2012.
