Biographical Information

Mario Hewitt played for Team USA and in the minors.

Hewitt was with the US in the 1971 Pan American Games, when they won Silver. The Montréal Expos took him in the 23rd round of the 1972 amateur draft. As a utility man for the 1972 Jamestown Falcons, he hit .355/.460/.570 in 46 games. In 1973, he played for the Quebec Carnavals (7 for 31, 6 BB) and West Palm Beach Expos (.313/.476/.344 in 11 G). He had hit .324/.444/.465 in his pro career.
