Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Mallon has been a sports researcher.
Mallon was a two-time All-American golfer at Duke and played on the PGA Tour from 1976-1979, including in the 1977 US Open. He then became a prominent elbow surgeon, being editor of Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and president of American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. He has written many books on the Olympics and has done lots of research on the Olympics, Pan American Games and Central American and Caribbean Games. His work is the main source for our listing of Pan American Games rosters for the 20th Century.
