Biographical Information[edit]
Brendan Sagara pitched four games for the 1999 Evansville Otters, allowing one run on 8 hits in 5 1/3 IP while fanning four. He then became a pitching coach, first in the independent leagues and later in Organized Baseball. Additionally, he was a New York Mets associate scout from 2006-2009 and a part-time Atlanta Braves scout in 2010-2011. He was scheduled to be pitching coach of the Nashville Sounds in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
In 2021 he became a major league pitching coach as co-pitching coach of the Texas Rangers, alongside Doug Mathis but was let go following the 2022 season.
