Team History[edit]
The Kenosha Mammoths played one year in the Frontier League when the Dubois County Dragons moved to Kenosha, WI. The club went 47-42 in 2003, finishing third in the Western Division, three and a half games behind the Gateway Grizzlies. Managed by Greg Tagert, they drew 25,449 fans, 11th in the 12-team league. They had no All-Stars. Derek Lopez (2-2, 16 Sv, 2.48, 43 K in 36 IP) was the most effective pitcher while 1B/3B Todd Leathers (.307, .510 SLG) led the club in average, slugging, homers (15), runs (46) and RBI (77). After the season the team moved to Ozark, MO to become the Springfield/Ozark Ducks.
