Biographical Information[edit]

Ante Ćurković has played for the Croatian national team.

He was 1 for 3 in the 2011 European Championship Qualifier, when Croatia won a spot in the 2012 European Championship. He hit .267/.267/.267 for Nada Split in the 2016 CEB Cup and stole two bases in two tries. In the 2016 European Championship, he backed up Andrija Tomić in left. He got into two games. Starting against Italy, he singled and grounded out against Ludovico Coveri and flew out against Filippo Crepaldi. In a win over Russia, he pinch-ran for DH Mario Manojlov and scored late in the game.

Ćurković was only 1 for 17 with three walk, a double and two runs in the 2017 CEB Cup, handling nine putouts. In the 2019 European Championship, he split right with Slobodan Gales and Tomić. He went 0 for 3 against Austria's Alex Seidl. Versus France, he singled off Lilian Amoros and was retired by José Paula in a 23-0 mercy rule loss. In the 3rd, he and pitcher Nino Kruhek switched positions with a 19-0 deficit, two on and one out. He served up a 3-run homer to Bastien Dagneau but retired Paula and Gabriel Fromental-Houle. In the 4th, he held France to one run, a big improvement over 21 runs in the 2nd and 3rd. He hit Jonathan DuForest and Mael Zan, retired Daniel Patrice and Felix Brown (getting him looking). Maxime Lefevre singled in the 23rd run then Dylan Gleeson singled but Ante recovered to fan Dagneau this time.

From 2009-2019, he was among the European Interleague leaders in slugging (.503, 12th), runs (78, tied for 14th), hits (95, 11th), RBI (86, 6th), doubles (30, tied for 5th with Gales) and total bases (148, 8th).
