Biographical Information

Dylan Gleeson has played in France's top level. He followed father Richard Gleeson onto the French national team.

Gleeson joined the Rouen Huskies in 2012. He got into one game in the 2012 European Cup Final Four, striking out against Matteo D'Angelo as a pinch-hitter for Oscar Combes. He hit .364/.571/.364 with 7 walks and 11 runs in 5 games for France in the 2012 European Junior Championship Qualifiers. He tied for second in the qualifier in walks and runs and was 10th in OBP. He started at 2B for Rouen in the 2013 European Cup. He hit .235/.381/.235 in that event, but fielded only .789 with four errors in five games, two of which played roles in one-run losses. He led the Cup in miscues.

In the 2014 French Division I, he batted .229/.284/.229 and fielded .972 while transitioning to catcher. He was 2 for 4 with a walk, 3 runs and a RBI in the 2014 European Cup. His extra-inning hit scored Oscar Combes with the winner against the Solingen Alligators. In the 2015 Division I season, he hit .262/.315/.274 with 17 RBI in 25 games and played error-free ball in 115 chances, splitting the catching with Boris Marche for the Huskies.

Gleeson made his first national team appearance in the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers in March 2016 but did not get into a game as Andy Paz handled the catching.
