Richard Gleeson

Biographical Information[edit]
Richard Gleeson played in the French Division Elite for the Tigers de Toulouse, Jimmer's de Saint-Lô and Huskies de Rouen. Moving from Quebec to France in 1991, he played for the French national team when they won the Bronze Medal in the 1999 European Championship, their first medal ever in a European Championship. He was 0 for 4 with a run, backing up Jamel Boutagra at C (3 PO, 1 SB) and Lahcène Benhamida at 2B (2 PO, 1 A). His son Dylan Gleeson later played the same two positions for Rouen and made the French national team in 2016. Richard has coached youth baseball in France.
