Biographical Information[edit]

Daniel Patrice has played in France and Germany and on the French national team.

Patrice hit .294/.383/.353 in the French Division I in 2013. [1] He was the starting first baseman for France in the 2013 U18 European Championship, producing at a .222/.300/.222 clip. [2] He played 9 games for the 2014 Toulouse Tigers, hitting .344/.452/.469. In '15, he batted .302/.328/.349 for Toulouse and was also 2 for 12 with a walk for Germany's München-Haar Disciples, backing up Richard Klijn at second base. [3]

He split 2016 between the Disciples (.189/.231/.216) as a corner outfielder [4] and Thiel College (.295/.324/.358, 19 R in 28 G), fielding .915. [5] In 2017, he was 7 for 32 with two walks for the Disciples and .381/.442/.500 for Thiel, though he fielded .874. [6] He played for France in the summer Universiade and U23 European Championship (.400/.464/.480, 12 RBI in 6 G). [7]

In 2018, Daniel hit .292/.330/.443 for Thiel, fielded .950 and had a 1-1, 2.57 record on the mound. As a senior in '19, he produced at a .343/.425/.517 clip with 14 doubles and 37 RBI in 39 games, making second-team All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference. He played in the French Division I for the first time in four years and batted .397/.451/.540 in 16 games for the Montigny Cougars; had he qualified, he would have tied Jacques Boucheron for 3rd in average. [8] He was the starting third baseman for France in the 2019 European Championship, batting .214/.353/.214 with 4 runs in 6 games, fielding .846. His first plate appearance, he drew a walk from Alessandro Maestri. His first hit for France was a single off Belgium's Ben Van Nuffel. [9]
