Colonial States Athletic Conference
(Redirected from Pennsylvania Athletic Conference)
The Colonial States Athletic Conference was a Division-III athletic conference in the states of Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The conference was formed in November 1991 as the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference to begin competing in the 1992-1993 school year. The conference name was changed to the current moniker in July 2008.
The CSAC is facing major a major shakeup at the end of the 2017-2018 school year, as 5 member schools (Cabrini University, Gwynedd Mercy University, Immaculata University, Marywood University, Neumann University - all baseball participating) will leave and join 2 other schools to form the Atlantic East Conference. 2 schools will join the conference at the same time (Bryn Athyn College & Wilson College). Wilson will begin sponsoring baseball in 2019 and Valley Forge is added as an affiliate school in baseball, keeping the conference at 6 school sponsoring baseball.
In December 2022, it was announced that the CSAC would merge with the United East Conference after the 2022-2023 school year. The merged conference will keep the United East name, ending the CSAC.
