Saint Elizabeth University, then known as the College of Saint Elizabeth, started sponsoring baseball beginning in 2019-2020 school year. The college changed its name in 2020. Starting in 2021, the college featured Alexia Jorge, a member of the United States women's national baseball team at the 2019 Pan-American Championships, on the roster of its men's team. On March 3, 2024, she became the first woman to start a game at catcher in collegiate baseball history in a game against Rivier University.
