On April 8th, the 2016 St. Louis Cardinals set a major league record by hitting three pinch-hit home runs in a 7-4 win over the Atlanta Braves. Two rookies, Aledmys Diaz and Jeremy Hazelbaker connected for their first career long ball, while Greg Garcia also went deep in the role. Stephen Piscotty added another homer in the 9th as the Cardinals came back from a 4-0 deficit to earn their first victory of the year; they had been swept in a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates to start the year.
