History, Comments, Contributions[edit]

Mired in the throes of a losing record, the 1990 St. Louis Cardinals still featured multiple bright spots: the electric Vince Coleman stole 77 bases, Willie McGee batted .335 and Ozzie Smith again won a Gold Glove. On the mound, John Tudor had one last hurrah, going 12-4 with a 2.40 ERA in 25 games, while closer Lee Smith had a 2.10 ERA with 27 saves in less than a full season.
