Introduction

The 1990 American League Championship Series featured a memorable 4th game when Roger Clemens was ejected in the 2nd inning for mouthing off to umpire Terry Cooney. Marty Barrett also pitched in by unloading Gatorade onto the field. Some of this was attributed to frustration as the Red Sox lost 7 consecutive playoff games to the A's in 1988 and 1990.
