[1] In the Asian Championship, he hit 6th and started at first base in their debut versus Hong Kong. He struck out against Chun-Pui Mok his first time up, going on to finish the event 0-for-12 with five strikeouts. He handled 16 chances error-free in the field. He also pitched one game, relieving Brent Powers with a 13-0 deficit, one out and two on in the 4th against South Korea. Jun-jae Jeong hit into an error, then he hit Jun-young Jeong. Beom-seok Kim and Sung-woo Kim singled in runs to make it 16-0. He plunked Seung-yeup Na and walked Jeong-hun Seo and Hyeon-seung Jung to force in more runs and make it 19-0. He then retired two batters to close out the mercy rule loss. He had the worst oh-fer of the tourney; Yodsaphan Sae Wa was next at 0-for-9. Among pitchers who recorded an out, only Ratchanon Khrueaprommin and Adam Musa had higher ERAs. [2]
