Biographical Information[edit]
Jun-jae Jeong has played for the South Korea national baseball team.
Jeong represented South Korea in the 2023 Asian Championship. He was 0-for-3 against Chinese Taipei in the opener, and he collected 2 runs against Hong Kong. He then had a 0-for-3 record with 3 runs against State of Palestine, and he was 2-for-4 against the Philippines. Jeong went 0-for-4 with a RBI versus Japan. In the Bronze Medal game, he went 2-for-4 with 2 runs and Korea beat the Philippines with a 7-0 score to win Bronze. He hit .222/.417/.222 and led the event with 8 steals (never caught), 3 ahead of Yukiya Yano and Hyeon-seung Jung. He handled 14 chances error-free between 2B and the outfield. He was second with 8 runs (two behind Yano), tied for 7th with 4 walks and tied for 4th with two times HBP. The SSG Landers selected him in the 5th round of the 2024 KBO draft, and he hit .307/.371/.405 in the minors in 2024.
