Biographical Information[edit]
Hyeon-seung Jung has played in the Korea Baseball Organization and for the South Korea national baseball team.
Jung represented South Korea in the 2023 Asian Championship. He was 0-for-3 against Chinese Taipei, and he went 1-for-4 with a RBI against Hong Kong. He had a 1-for-4 record with 2 RBI against State of Palestine, and he was 0-for-3 against the Philippines. In the Bronze Medal game, Jung went 2-for-3 with 3 steals and Korea beat the Philippines with a 7-0 score to win Bronze. South Korea's starting center fielder, he went 5-for-5 in steal attempts over the 5 games. He tied Yukiya Yano for second in swipes, three behind teammate Jun-jae Jeong. He was selected by the SSG Landers in the 6th round of the 2024 KBO draft, and he hit .241/.290/.345 in 23 games in 2024.
