Biographical Information[edit]

Jun-young Jeong has played in the KBO and for the South Korea national baseball team.

Jeong was drafted by the KT Wiz in the second round of the 2023 KBO draft, and he hit .292/.333/.333 in 34 games in 2023. He then represented South Korea in the 2023 Asian Championship. He was 1-for-4 against Chinese Taipei, and he went 1-for-4 against Hong Kong. Jeong had a 0-for-2 record with 2 runs scored against State of Palestine and he was 0-for-3 against the Philippines. He went 0-for-3 against Japan. In the Bronze Medal game, Jeong went 1-for-3 with 2 RBI and Korea beat the Philippines with a 7-0 score to win Bronze. Jeong slumped to .226/.324/.258 in 2024, and he missed the next two seasons due to military service.
